MARINE LIFE
According to Richard Feely, a scientist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the ocean absorbs 22 million tons of Carbon Dioxide every day! Although the absorption takes Carbon Dioxide out of the atmosphere reducing the greenhouse effect, the absorption also knocks the oceans ecosystem out of balance. The absorption of Carbon Dioxide in the ocean results in a chemical reaction that creates Carbonic Acid. This results in Ocean Acidification, the lowering of the Ocean's PH Balance. This can result in the difficulty for many animals to develop and can affect many other marine animals. This could also affect many of the industries related to the ocean such as Fishing and Tourism to endure the hardships that could arise. (7)
